The Buddha taught that the 'wise' are those who review every input—sights, sounds, tastes—before letting them in. If we 'swallow' an insult or a greedy desire without wisdom, it is like a cat swallowing a live rat. It might seem like a 'win' or a satisfaction in the moment, but once inside, that 'rat' of anger or craving will only rip your own stomach (your peace of mind) from the within.

May we all have the wisdom to see things as they truly are—Anicca, Dukkha, and Anatta—and protect our hearts from the poisons of the world. Sukhi Hotu!
